Nate’s Bio:

Nate Cushman has worked as a Librarian with Sno-Isle Libraries for 30 years. His love for libraries began at an early age due to being a military brat and moving every 2 years. Being a shy kid, (at least until basketball season rolled around), libraries became his refuge whenever he arrived in a new town. Over his career, genealogical research has evolved from a professional requirement to a personal passion.

There will be a short break with refreshments after the presentation followed by our monthly business meeting.

Judy G. Russell AKA The Legal Genealogist® will present “Polls, Personalty and Property – Making Sense of Tax Lists”.
Somebody had to pay government’s bills, and they did it through the law by imposing taxes on polls, personal property and real property. The records of those taxes offer some of the best clues available to our ancestors, their families and their neighborhoods.

Judy is a wonderful speaker that you won’t want to miss.

Tri City Genealogical Society New Tools in FamilySearch

  Please join us for Tri-City Genealogical Society’s General meeting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8th.  The presentation will be at the Richland FamilySearch Center located at 1314A Goethals Dr.  Entrance is down the ramp from the parking lot north of Dairy Queen.  The presentation will also be on Zoom so you can join in from your home.  See below for the Zoom link for the March presentation.

  On April 8th, another longtime TCGS member, Margie Beldin, will be speaking on “New Tools in FamilySearch.”

  And, on May 13th, longtime TCGS member and TCGS Librarian, Sandra Meacham Floberg, will    discuss “Repatriation of MIA/KIA using DNA.”
